Welcome To The 49th ICYPAA!
The rush and the resulting growing pains in Los Angeles had been appalling. It seemed impossible that they could have stood the confusion and the pace. Before this first visit was over, I began to wonder if they could continue to bear up under it. Yet in 1950, only seven years later, I spoke to an A.A. audience in the Shrine Auditorium, where 7,000 members and their families were gathered. By then, Los Angeles County represented the most densely populated A.A. region in our whole fellowship. Today it harbors 14,000 members and they are as solid as Gibraltar.
